Mike Huckabee is Surging Everywhere, not Just in Iowa

We have heard a lot about Mike Huckabee lately, specifically about his huge rise in Iowa, where polls show him in either first or second place. But what's not being widely reported is that he's rising in a lot of other places too - not just Iowa.
In Florida for example, a state where Giuliani was assumed to win easily, a recent poll now has Huckabee surging up to second place with 17%. Truly an incredible feat considering Huck was well below 10 percent about a month ago. But it only goes to show that when Huckabee gets name recognition, people like what they see and hear. Huckabee will win the nomination as long as he continues to get a good flow of media to get his name out to the people.
In South Carolina, Huckabee is polling a strong third place with 18 percent of the vote. He's only a little behind Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson there, but with Huckabee's large wave of support happening as you read this, expect that to change shortly. Fred and Mitt are only at 17 and 15 percent, so the margin between them and Huck is insignificant when you factor in the margin of error, which is over 4% -- the distance between Huck and Mitt.
And Nationally, Huckabee is usually second or third place among all candidates! That is a rise of magnificent proportions, especially for someone everyone so desperately wanted to count out as an "also-ran" or "second tier" candidate. His campaign is now nationally gaining support across all states.
Don't count him out in New Hampshire either, which is a state that Huckabee has put some focus on as an early important primary. His gains there have also been fairly steady, with his polling numbers actually breaking 14%. And he continues to rise there.
And in Texas, Huck is tied for third place with an impressive 14%.
These are not numbers of an also-ran. Mike Huckabee is a real contender in this race with a very good shot at winning the Republican nomination. His momentum is continuing to build, so all these poll numbers are likely to go up in a very short amount of time.
Yes the nomination process starts in January with Iowa being the first big contest, which is coming on quickly. And at the rate that Huckabee's support is growing, there is a perfect opportunity to peak with his momentum and sweep the nomination.
One thing is for sure: You can't count Huckabee out. He's in it to win it.

Mike Huckabee and the Republican YouTube Debate

After watching the Republican CNN/YouTube debate, I came away with the impression that Gov. Huckabee clearly won the debate, followed by John McCain with a close second.
I think Huckabee won by his intelligence, humor, wit, and his ability to connect with the audience. I think his victory was even widened by the poor performances of Romney and Thompson, and to some extent Giuliani.
Huckabee was immediately hit with the attack about giving children of illegal immigrants access to college scholarships. Huckabee's answer was clear -- we shouldn't punish children because of the parents' illegal behavior. Huckabee also made it clear that the kids had to perform with academic excellence, be drug free, and be outstanding students.
Mitt Romney seemed to come across as harsh and brazen in his attempt to pin Huckabee down. Calling them "illegal kids" seemed to rub me the wrong way. These kids are illegal only in the sense that their parents are screw-ups! So what.... we just leave the kids out to dry because their parents are law breakers? No -- Huckabee is right. We need these children to grow up to be productive tax payers, not tax takers!
Each candidate had an ad they submitted to the debate -- and oddly enough, Fred Thompson used his ad to simply attack Romney and Huckabee -- with nothing said of himself. Funny -- it just shows that his campaign is in desperate mode. Thompson seemed like through the whole debate he was unable to string together coherent thoughts. He definitely missed his cue cards tonight!
Huckabee also responded to a question about whether he believed the Bible -- every word in it. Of course, with Huckabee being a minister, he was able to answer the question in a far smoother manner than Giuliani or Romney. Huckabee said that he believes the Bible is God's message to us -- and said there are of course parts that are parables -- such as plucking out your eye. But on the whole, Huckabee said that yes he does believe the Bible is God's Word.
Romney answered the question by saying yes it is God's Word. But the unspoken thoughts were loud and clear I believe. Mitt Romney is a Mormon. So in addition to the Bible, he believes in the book of Mormonism, which is a document completely separate from the Bible, but claims to have the same authority as the Bible.
Regarding a question about space exploration, and whether or not the candidates would spend money on sending a man to mars, Huckabee said it's a wait-and-see type thing, but said if we do take the task on, a good first person to send there on a rocket is Hillary Clinton. I will second that. Hillary has views more in line with aliens anyway.
Overall, there was a lot of sparring between Romney and all the other candidates. Romney seemed to have a chip on his shoulder tonight. McCain seemed tough but just lacks the charisma, visible passion and charm. He's good, but he's not gonna win.
Huckabee definitely came out the best in this debate. His intelligence, speaking ability, and communication skills are that of a revolutionary candidate. He is inclusive, compassionate, and very gifted in many respects. Huckabee has the potential to carry his momentum on to a HUGE, historic victory for the nomination.
Huge, huge night for Mike Huckabee.
Huckabee's website is getting tons of traffic and donations. To join the donating, click here.
(p.s. Ron Paul was more irrelevant in this debate than ever before. He was just a punching bag for John McCain.)

VIDEO of Mike Huckabee Press Conference with Ric Flair (Wooo!)
Many people discount the endorsement of Ric Flair as silly or irrelevant. However, more discerning people should know better. Ric Flair is a legend in the wrestling business, with a great reputation there. Many wrestling fans are very loyal to people like Flair -- so, if nothing else, many, many more people will hear about Mike Huckabee BECAUSE OF Ric Flair's endorsement.
Flair's endorsement is actually meaningful to people who aren't necessarily the political type. It means something to those who take Flair and wrestling seriously (and believe you me, MANY people do!). Thus, I was very happy to watch the video below of Ric Flair standing beside Mike Huckabee as Huck was giving a press conference at a college football game.
The ending of the video is actually pretty hilarious -- as Flair was revving people up about Huckabee by saying, "Let's hear it for Mike Huckabee, Woooooo!" Funny, exciting, and even helpful to Huckabee's overall status among a sometimes forgotten people of the potential electorate! Watch below!

Mike Huckabee Responds to Mitt Romney, and his Severe Flip-Flopping
This is a MUST-SEE video below. Listen as Mike Huckabee describes Romney's various anti-conservative positions, all of which he flip-flopped on in order to run for the Republican nominations. Don't be fooled by Mitt, he is a "say-anything-to-get-elected" type of guy. Mike Huckabee is the true conservative who actually has a consistent and clear record to back it up.

Mike Huckabee is the Right Choice
If you are a Republican or independent voter looking for a candidate that represents your values - then look no further. Mike Huckabee is your man.
Huckabee is a man of great character, faith, principle, intelligence, and rationality. As he says, his faith defines who he is. He is a compassionate man, whose interest is in helping ordinary people all across America. He was a minister, his heart is full of compassion - and he has helped so many people through hurting times as a minister. Huckabee is not in this for himself -- he is in it to help people like you, and to make America an even better place with values and principles that we can all respect.
Please consider Mike Huckabee. We can't afford a big step towards liberalism -- something Rudy Giuliani represents. If we start voting for people who believe abortion should be legal, and that tax-payers should even fund it, then we are making the conservative movement irrelevant. Do you really think Giuliani is the hope of conservatives? No, he is essentially a democrat who is playing on the fears of conservatives. Don't allow the Republican party to descend into the liberalness that Giuliani represents.
We need someone with a great intellect, a great respect for conservative values, someone who understands the threat we face from islamo-fascists, someone who truly understands compassion and hope. Mike Huckabee is that man.
Please take a look at his stand on the issues, and then, if you feel led, please donate to his campaign using his donation page.
Thank you for taking this issue with the seriousness it deserves. Let's bring life back to the Republican party, and make Mike Huckabee our nominee.

An Appeal To Ron Paul Supporters
A repost from the Scotty Scoop blog.
I want to sincerely tip my hat to you for standing by your candidate and raising so much money in a little amount of time. You have shown unity in your hard working activism to promote and support your candidate Ron Paul. He has even inched his way up a great deal.
However, I say this with all humility, January is around the corner [when the nomination process begins] and I'm afraid Ron Paul doesn't have enough support to secure the Republican Nomination.
I know that many of you Paul supporters stand firmly on your position to protect the unborn and to keep Marriage protected, and we Huckabee supporters stand with you. We don't agree on every issue which is obvious but i'm happy to say that on those extremely important issues, we are united with a passion.
Mike Huckabee has never trashed Ron Paul but has actually said some very nice things about him. My Appeal to you is to please quickly consider throwing your support towards Mike Huckabee. Mike Huckabee is the one republican candidate I believe Ron Paul supporters can respect and team up with to ensure that Rudy Giuliani and the others do not get the nomination.
Mike Huckabee has set a November goal of $2,067,521.00
with your help we can reach that goal very quickly
Please give my appeal some serious thought. May God Bless You All!

Give $100 to Huck on Nov. 20th
Somebody set up a website called Nov20ForTheChildren.com that is trying to get people to pledge a hundred dollars on the 20th of November.
If you can donate this amount on the 20th to help Huckabee's fundraising numbers, please contribute! Even if you can't contribute a hundred dollars, donate what you can, and make the 20th a memorable day for fundraising in the Huckabee campaign.
I am not exactly sure what the end result will be, but if the 20th can go significantly over $100,000, I think the day will have been a great success, considering this whole "promo day" is actually very low key.
Anyhow, please put what you can into the Huckabee campaign on the 20th, and make this day count!

Star Parker Endorses Huckabee

From the Official Huck:
Little Rock, AR – Former Arkansas Governor and Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee adds Ms. Star Parker to the growing list of endorsements by members of the faith community. Ms. Parker is founder and president of CURE*, Coalition on Urban Renewal and Education, a national conservative think tank focused on breaking the cycle of poverty.
“I’ve known Ms. Parker for more than ten years and I have come to admire her character and determination,” Huckabee said. “I’m proud to have her support because we share many of the same views on faith and family.
“America is at a crossroads and this country needs a president with the moral clarity to understand what is wrong at its core,” Parker said. “Mike Huckabee has the passion and vision to get America back on track toward a civil, just, and virtuous society.”
Parker is a leading social policy consultant and media commentator, the author of three books and a weekly nationally syndicated newspaper column. She is widely recognized for her successful transition from being single welfare mother to an entrepreneur, civic leader and social activist.
| MORE ABOUT STAR PARKER Star Parker is the founder and president of CURE, the Coalition on Urban Renewal & Education, a 501c3 non-profit think tank that provides a national voice of reason on issues of race and poverty in the media, inner city neighborhoods, and public policy. Prior to her involvement in social activism, Star Parker was a single welfare mother in Los Angeles, California. After receiving Christ, Star returned to college, received a BS degree in marketing and launched an urban Christian magazine. The 1992 Los Angeles riots destroyed her business, yet served as a springboard for her focus on faith and market-based alternatives to empower the lives of the poor. As a social policy consultant, Star Parker gives regular testimony before the United States Congress, and is a national expert on major television and radio shows across the country. Currently, Star is a regular commentator on CNN, CNBC, CBN, FOX News, and the United Kingdom's BBC. She has debated Jesse Jackson on BET; fought for school choice on Larry King Live; defended welfare reform on the Oprah Winfrey Show, and spoke at the 1996 Republican National Convention. Star Parker’s personal transformation from welfare fraud to conservative crusader has been chronicled by ABC’s 20/20; Rush Limbaugh; Readers Digest; Dr. James Dobson; The 700 Club; Dr. George Grant; the Washington Times; Christianity Today; Charisma, and World Magazine. Articles and quotes by Star have appeared in major publications including the Washington Post and the New York Times. Star has written three books. Her autobiography "Pimps, Whores & Welfare Brats" was released in 1997 by Pocket Books, "Uncle Sam's Plantation" is released by Thomas Nelson in the fall of 2003, and "White Ghetto: How Middle Class America Reflects Inner City Decay" was released in 2006. Today, in addition to heading CURE, Star is a syndicated columnist for Scripps Howard News Service, offering weekly op-eds to more than 400 newspapers worldwide, including the Boston Herald, the Dallas Morning News, The Orange County Register, San Diego Union, Arkansas Democrat Gazette, the Washington Times, and the Star and Stripes, the largest paper serving the men and women of our Armed Forces.SOURCE |

More Evangelical Leaders Endorse Huckabee!
By Sherry Grindeland
Seattle Times staff reporter
Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor, picked up a major Christian-community endorsement today in his swing through Bellevue.
The Republican was endorsed by Joseph Fuiten, pastor of Cedar Park Church in Bothell, and 29 other evangelical-faith community leaders.
The announcement was made at a small fundraising luncheon at the Harbor Club in Bellevue.
"The governor represents our values," Fuiten said after the event. "I like that he believes and I like what he believes. His Christianity is organic, he has been this way all his life."
Huckabee is a former pastor and served as president of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, the largest denomination in Arkansas.
He has been gaining in Iowa polls and left the Midwest campaign trail for brief appearances in Arizona, California and Washington state. Huckabee will speak at the King County GOP dinner at 6 tonight at The Westin Bellevue.

Pro-Life Pregnancy Center Leader Endorses Mike Huckabee for President

by Steven Ertelt
LifeNews.com Editor
One day after National Right to Life endorsed former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson, the leader of a national pregnancy center organization says he's backing Mike Huckabee. Tom Glessner, an attorney and the head of the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, says he supports the former Arkansas governor.
NIFLA, a pro-life law firm which provides legal and other services for over 1,100 pregnancy centers across the country, isn't backing a candidate, but Glessner is doing so personally.
Glessner issued his endorsement in a letter to the more than 2,500 pregnancy centers nationwide and told LifeNews.com about his decision.
"Forty-nine million abortions since 1973 is a moral blight upon our land that must be corrected and 1.2 million abortions a year continues to break the very heart and soul of this nation," Glessner said.
"Our next president must be a person who believes this within the foundations of his soul. And we need a president who has the moral convictions and commitment to work to end the cultural nightmare of abortion," Glessner explained.
"I am convinced that Governor Huckabee is that person," he concluded.
Earlier this month, Huckabee said he favors an amendment to the Constitution that protects human life and will ban abortions on a nationwide scale.
"I've always supported the passage of a constitutional amendment to protect the right to life," Huckabee said. "As President, I will fight for passage of a human life amendment."
"My position on the sanctity of life has always been clear and consistent," Huckabee added. "No candidate has a stronger record on the sanctity of life than I do."
Huckabee said that when he served as governor, he pushed for a similar amendment on the state level.
Glessner has served as CEO of NIFLA for fifteen years and has been in a national leadership role in the pro-life movement since 1987.

Rudy Giuliani's Doublethink on Abortion
Rudy Giuliani says he is against abortion, and that he believes it is morally wrong.
At the same time, he says it should be legal and people should make their own choice about it.
If abortion is morally wrong to Rudy, then why? Answer: because it is the killing of life. Why else would it be morally wrong?
If abortion is wrong, but people should be allowed to kill the life if they choose to do so, as Rudy thinks, then why can't mothers choose to legally kill their newborn infants? That may sound extreme, but so did pre-born abortion many years ago.
Rudy may be personally against abortion, but if the mother chooses to believe otherwise, then why shouldn't her personal morality of infanticide be respected?
This is the same logic Rudy is using regarding abortion. If something is wrong, like killing, then no one should be allowed to choose to commit such a heinous act! If it's wrong as you say Rudy, then be consistent with your belief and oppose it at all levels, just as you do with traditional murder.
Our country is founded on Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. If children can't even make it out of the womb, how can they have liberty and pursue happiness?
Aborting life should never be an option, never a choice. Human life is sacred and sanctified by God. It is not a choice, and it is not up to someone else to play God by saying "I'll let this one live and not this one."
And if that weren't bad enough, Rudy wants you and me to pay for it by the taxes we pay. Watch this video where Rudy says if a woman can't afford an abortion, then tax-payers should pay for it for her.
I would expect these views from someone like Harry Reid, but not a "conservative" Republican. Rudy Giuliani deserves to be no where near the White House with these kinds of views.

Fred Thompson - Lazy or Liar?
updated 11/06/07
Fred Thompson apparently doesn't know how to research, relying instead, I assume, on his "people." You see, Fred Thompson has a reputation of being lazy -- and now I can certainly see why.
In an interview with FOX News (click here to view), Fred Thompson said that Huckabee talks about the pro-life issue "because it's the only conservative issue he's got." That's a flat out lie, and a lazy one at that. Huckabee is an authentic conservative on all the issues, and here's a look at some of them:
- Traditional marriage - He supports a constitutional amendment to preserve traditional marriage of one man & one woman. Thompson does not.
- Gun Rights and the Second Amendment - Huckabee is the strongest of all the candidates on this issue, realizing that it is an embedded right in our constitution; that it goes beyond just hunting and is more about our freedoms.
- Foreign Policy - Huckabee believes in a strong national defense and winning in Iraq. Listen to one of his responses about Iran, war and congressional approval by clicking here.
- Pro-Life Issues - Huckabee is for the over-turning of Roe v. Wade.
- Immigration - Huckabee has said our first priority is to seal the border, and deport illegals who are found committing crimes. That's as conservative as any other top-tier candidate. View Huckabee's "Truth Squad" page on his website about immigration by clicking here.
- Taxes - Huckabee is for the FairTax. He cut taxes and fees over 90 times as Gov., more than any other Gov. in Arkansas. The taxes he did raise were essential for roads, schools, etc., and sometimes the voters even overwhelmingly voted to approve them!
Fred needs to issue an apology. He got angry at Huck for making a truthful statement, so he made up some stuff to attack him. The fact that Huckabee continues to gain in the polls probably added to the timing of this attack. A new Rasmussen poll has Huck over Mitt Romney at 12%.
The truth is that Fred's laziness is a big problem. He didn't even want to join the FOX News debate with all the candidates, instead opting to announce his candidacy one day after the debate. He also claimed he wanted to debate the issues in a Lincoln-Douglas style debate, which he then declined when Huckabee offered. He was either too lazy to debate Huckabee in that style, or he lied when he said he wanted to do that.
More recently, Fred Thompson made an off the cuff quip that caught some of those in the room off guard. "Trying to encourage his studio to hurry up so an interview could start, Carl Cameron of Fox News said into his microphone: "The next president of the United States has a schedule to keep." Standing beside him, a deadpan Mr Thompson interjected: 'And so do I.'" Even Fred doubts he'll win, because his heart apparently is just not it in.
Also, speaking to a small crowd of supporters, Thompson had to ASK for a round of applause, apparently because his supporters were too bored or unenthusiastic. Take a look at that incredible video by clicking here.
Fred also allegedly hates campaigning. He is often said to despise getting out there and actually trying to look excited for the people.
So it must be asked: Why would anyone want such a lazy guy who has problems with the truth as President?
We call on Fred Thompson to issue an apology to Mike Huckabee for his lazy and/or false allegations.

Jeb Bush: Huckabee Can Beat Hillary Also

Check it out from NewsMax.com:
Any one of five candidates for the Republican presidential nomination, including Mike Huckabee, can beat Hillary Rodham Clinton in the 2008 election, according to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
"He's a great speaker," Bush said of Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor. "And I like governors. He's got a great sense of humor. But he should be taken seriously."
Huckabee should be included among the front-runners for the GOP nomination along with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Arizona Sen. John McCain, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson, Bush told the Dallas Morning News.
In Dallas to speak to a National Center for Policy Analysis meeting, Bush told the News he has not endorsed any candidate and does not plan to. But he said that any one of the five GOP hopefuls could beat Clinton, whom he said will probably win the Democratic nomination. "It looks that way," he said when asked if she would be the Democrat nominee. "She's running a very good campaign."
The former Florida governor and brother of President Bush told the News he doesn't plan to re-enter the political arena. "I truly had my dream come true," he said of his two terms as governor. "That was what I really wanted, I don't have any aspirations beyond that. You never say never. But it'd be highly doubtful that I'd do that."
Jeb Bush is a very wise man. :)

Supporting Huckabee
Someone wrote a letter about Mike Huckabee to the New Hampshire newspaper, "The Milford Observer." The citizen seems very informed and gives some good advice. Check it out:
Supporting HuckabeeFrom The Milford Observer in New Hampshire
By Loreen Daniels
Milford
It is very important for me to help the people of this area to understand the importance of knowing that the purpose of a primary is NOT to vote for the most popular person who they think has a good chance of winning the election, unless of course, that person has all the qualities to lead our country; but the purpose of a primary is to vote for the best person who one thinks will make the best president, no matter how much or how little press he gets.
There are candidates out there with little money to spend, but would make much better candidates for the presidency than all the ones with the big bucks that make the headlines every day! The one I am supporting is Gov. Mike Huckabee. He has no baggage, has genuine integrity, a real vision for America and the most COMMON SENSE I have seen in a candidate so far as well as successful experience in his home state of Arkansas as governor. You can go on the internet and find out what Mike is all about and I encourage you to do so via his website: Mike Huckabee.com, so you can make an informed decision come primary day.
I encourage you to do the same regarding any other candidates that are running but not getting any press because they are considered an "underdog". Voting in a primary or in the general election shouldn't be a popularity contest! It's the time to vote with your heart of who the best candidate for the job should be. Choose who you think should win, not what the press envisions as the winner.

Tancredo and Hunter Need to Call it Quits
Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter have no chance to win. I am 100% certain of that fact. They poll no more than 1 or 2 percent in national polls, and they have absolutely no buzz and no money. Therefore, they are wasting everyone's time, especially when they show up at these debates and take a few minutes away from the more serious candidates.
Therefore, I propose it's time to say that you must poll at least 5% in the national polls in order to stay in the debates. The networks need to start implementing this rule NOW. There wouldn't be much of an outcry at all, considering no one really knows who Tancredo and Hunter are; and the few supporters they do have are too small in number to make any impact.
So I implore the networks: please drop the candidates under 5 percent. We are too close to the primaries to be wasting time on 1 and 2 percenters.
That would leave the legitimate contenders of Mike Huckabee, Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, John McCain, Fred Thompson, and Ron Paul.
Honestly, these are too many candidates also to be in a debate this close to primaries, so why would we add the 1 percenters like Tancredo and Hunter? It makes absolutely no sense! Drop them so we can have a little more substance in the debates! Please.

O'Reilly's Twisted Interview with Huckabee
I was reading a comment about the Bill O'Reilly interview on Mike Huckabee's blog by someone named Bill Rocker. His comment was absolutely right on I thought, so I have decided to share it here:
Yes, O'Reilly did try some dirty tactics by the line of questioning he decided to pursue. It was completely uncalled for. Hugh Hewitt of Townhall.com says it best:Well, I've had some time since I saw the O'Reilly interview last night, and in the light of day, I now think it was twisted trash -- more so than I did when I first saw it.
It seems obvious to me that it was an attempt to cast Governor Huckabee (and us) in the same kind of foolish light as that old hollywood movie, "Inherit The Wind". That was about the trial known as "The Monkey Trial". The movie, made by hollywood leftists, twisted around the reality of that real life trial and made it look like the lawyer defending creationism against evolution was a buffoon (when in actuality he was a brilliant legal scholar).
That was the same attack angle O'Reilly took last night against Governor Huckabee.
All the questions were pinpointed onto hot button subjects and twisted and spun in such a way as to try to make Governor Huckabee appear like a buffoonish southern preacher who just didn't understand modern thought and would try to push the country back into the same foggy southern marsh he'd just wandered out of.
O'Reilly's questioning on religion never got anywhere near subjects like defending the unborn from abortion or defending traditional marriage from those pushing the homosexual agenda. Those are the issue taht have pushed the Governor up in the polls. Instead, the questions were all meant to make Governor Huckabee look like some 19th century, backward thinking, Southern bumpkin preacher.
It was a hit job by a Giuliani-pushing network carried out by a New Yorker, Giuliani-pushing interviewer.
The interview was conducted during my show yesterday, so I could only see some text as the mute button was on. I think Bill asked the governor if he really believed in Adam and Eve. The answer doesn't matter to me so much as what the question represents: A huge breach in the previously widely respected understanding that such questions are not asked of presidential candidates and, if asked, politely turned aside as inappropriate in a nation built on the premise that religious tests are unconstitutional in law and that politics is best kept very clear of theological disputes appropriate to church debates and academic settings.O'Reilly's interview was in bad taste and bad motivation. What a shame!

Rick Warren Endorsing Mike Huckabee?
Well, it's not an official endorsement, but Rick Warren had some very nice things to say regarding Gov. Huckabee on a radio program. He said,
“I know most of the candidates running for president but I’ve known Mike Huckabee the longest, since we did our graduate degrees together in the late 70s. Mike’s a man of vision, compassion, and integrity. I’ve watched his uncanny ability to identify with normal people in ways that many leaders don’t. That’s probably why TIME named him one of the five best governors in America. He’s definitely presidential material. But honestly, what I find most appealing is his self-deprecating humor. That’s a key sign of a spiritually and emotionally healthy leader - someone who is comfortable with himself, is authentic, doesn’t wear a mask, and is secure enough to be humble. People love that.”
Rick Warren is one of the most popular and respected leaders in the evangelical community. Some have even dubbed him the "new Billy Graham." (Although, no one can replace Rev. Graham)
His book, "The Purpose Driven Life" is one of the best selling Christian books of all time. His positive comments towards Huckabee should really boost Huckabee's name recognition, as well as make people give him a second look.
Thank you, Pastor Warren, for stating what we all know; that Huckabee is a genuine, thoughtful, sincere leader.
First Chuck Norris, now Rick Warren... who's next?
